Richard S. Hill, Richard E. “Dick” Anderson, and D. Kent Lance, Jr.– all successful former Trammell Crow Company executives – co-founded HPI Real Estate Services & Investments more than 20 years ago, based on a commitment to commercial real estate expertise, integrity, and exceptional client services. Today, through valuable leadership and expertise of our founding partners and others, HPI has grown to be a leading provider of Texas commercial real estate services.
Richard Hill co-founded HPI in 1992 and is directly involved with HPI’s capital deals, including acquisitions, sales and financing, as well as in recruiting new equity partners.
Richard earned a business degree at the University of Texas in 1976 and continued on to earn his MBA at the McCombs School of Business in 1978. After graduation, Richard served as a senior accountant at Arthur Young & Co. in Dallas for two years before joining Trammell Crow. During his tenure with Trammell Crow, he served on the company's national audit committee, national recruiting committee and was the division partner responsible for the office and industrial divisions in the company’s Austin office, as well as the industrial division in San Antonio.
Dick Anderson co-founded HPI oversees day-to-day operations for HPI, including development, investments, acquisitions, sales, financing, property management and leasing.
A native of Nebraska, Dick attended Southern Methodist University and during his college years, interned for the Trammell Crow Company in Dallas. In 1987, he graduated from SMU and transferred to Austin where he worked for the Trammell Crow Company and began his real estate career.
Kent Lance co-founded HPI in 1992 and is directly active in all aspects of HPI’s business from leasing to capital investments to multi-family. He brings over 30 year’s experience in the Central Texas commercial real estate market.
Kent earned a degree in business administration from the University of Texas in 1984, later working for Trammell Crow for eight years before co-founding HPI in 1992. While at Trammell Crow, Kent served as a marketing principal from 1984 to 1989 and as project partner of the industrial division from 1989 to 1992. Kent was one of the most successful leasing agents at Trammell Crow, earning National Annual Leasing Awards from the company in both 1986 and 1987.
