CAREER SUMMARY

Howard, a Certified Property Manager, joins HPI’s San Antonio Office with responsibility for managing approximately 480,000 sf of retail space. Before joining HPI he managed a commercial portfolio for NAI/REOC Partners consisting of approximately 275,000 sf, including a class-A office building and an in-line retail center.

Howard has been involved with research, marketing, and managing income-producing investment real estate for over 25 years, with over 15 years of direct line management. His titles have included Director of Marketing, Acquisitions Analyst, Asset Management Specialist, Property Manager, and Regional Vice President (for a national REIT).

He believes the hallmark of outstanding client/tenant service is timely communications. In his words, "Effective communication is often best executed face-to-face, without the impersonal interruption of technology; creating and developing relationships. Property management is a dynamic, creative, and hands-on enterprise."

Howard is a former President of the San Antonio chapter of the Institute of Real Estate Management and was presented with the CPM of the Year Award in 2003. He is also a former Board Member of the San Antonio Apartment Association. An experienced real estate industry instructor and speaker, he has been awarded the Distinguished Toastmaster (DTM) designation by Toastmasters International.
