Who We Are
Dick Anderson is a founding partner of HPI and serves as its managing partner overseeing day-to-day operations. Building on his quick success with Trammell Crow Company, Dick co-founded HPI in 1992 with two other Trammell executives. With Dick’s leadership, HPI has grown from a four-person development firm to a full-service real estate firm with over 175 employees; offices in Austin, Dallas, Houston and San Antonio; and an active portfolio of over 20 million square feet of office, industrial, self-storage, and senior living product. In those twenty-eight years, Dick and his partners have overseen over $4 billion in office and industrial development in Central Texas. As Managing Partner, Dick runs the day-to-day operations for HPI which includes development and portfolio acquisitions, to leasing and capital investments. Dick began his real estate career as an intern for Trammell Crow Company while at Southern Methodist University. Upon graduation, Dick turned his college internship into a five-year marketing career with Trammell Crow, resulting with him serving as Marketing Director for the company’s industrial division before co-founding HPI.
Luke joined HPI’s Dallas leasing team in 2018. With a sole focus on office assets, he serves as Director for HPI’s Dallas portfolio and third-party clients. Prior to joining HPI, Luke worked at Dimensional Fund Advisors where he produced performance attribution analyses to support sales activities for the Regional Director of Texas. Luke uses his finance background and market intelligence to provide value for clients, ranging from institutional investors to local owners. Luke was born and raised in Austin, Texas before graduating from TCU with a degree in Finance. Luke resides in Dallas with his wife Kate and is an active member of TREC, NTCAR, YPO Next Generation and Touchdown Club.
William joined HPI in 2023 as a General Manager. He oversees the day-to-day operations as well as the property management and engineering team of Class AA office in North Dallas.
He brings 15 years of commercial real estate experience, beginning as an accountant and expanding into various operational roles. Prior to joining HPI, he managed the ground up development of The Union Uptown Dallas, an 800,000 SF mixed use facility in the heart of Dallas’ uptown.
He is a member of BOMA and actively involved in industry organizations.
Chris is responsible for all areas of property management, including day to day operations, construction management, capital projects, and building strong client and tenant relations. Chris’ overriding goal is to optimize the income, cash flow and value of every square foot in our portfolio. Prior to joining HPI, Chris lead Adler Realty Services, LLC for five years based in Miami, FL as President. During his tenure, he helped grow the portfolio to over 10 MM SF throughout the Southeast, South and Mid-Atlantic regions. Balish earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Management-Finance and a Bachelor of Science in Communications Arts & Science from Western Michigan University, as well as a Masters of Business Administration from George Mason University.
As HPI’s Industrial Project Partner, Davis is directly involved in industrial development, leasing, and acquisitions/dispositions for both institutional and private investment clients. Davis’ specialty is in customer service with a focus on building long-term relationships with his clients. Since 2013, Davis has consistently been recognized as a top CoStar Power Broker, as well as being recognized as the Austin Business Journal’s #1 Heavy Hitter from 2015 to 2023. Prior to joining HPI, Davis attended Trinity University where he earned a B.S. in Finance while spending four years on the Trinity football team.
Born and proudly raised in Round Rock, Texas, Stephen joined HPI in 2022 and quickly emerged in the project management team. Stephen studied Real Estate Finance & Development at The University of Texas at San Antonio and serves as an Owner’s Representative on office, industrial, and asset capital improvement projects. With a strong foundation in both financial analysis and property development, he brings a fresh, bright perspective to the team. When he is not working, he can be found enjoying time at the shooting range, playing golf, at church, and being with family and friends.
A true Austin Original, Brooks was born and raised right here in Austin. After deciding to stick to his roots and attend The University of Texas, Brooks had a very active and involved 4 years at the university. He worked in campus leasing for student housing at Austin City Realty and regularly volunteered and is still active in the Young Life community at Westlake High School. Brooks also proudly served as Handler for the Silver Spurs, where he was a caretaker for Austin’s favorite mascot, Bevo.
Beginning his Junior year, Brooks served as the sole intern for the HPI Tenant Advisors team, learning the ropes from some of the most successful names in the industry. After serving for 2 years as the intern for the HPITA team, Brooks has joined the team full-time to advise and guide companies through their office and industrial facility needs.
In his spare time, Brooks spends as much time outdoors as he can. His favorite outdoor activities include (but are certainly not limited to) fly fishing, hunting, and rock climbing.
Steven joined HPI in May 2016. As Director of Tax, he is responsible for all of HPI and its affiliates’ tax advisory services. Steven’s focus is on real estate acquisitions, development, management, leasing, and sales transactions. He also acts as a consultant on various tax related issues including structuring partnership agreements, proper income tax allocations, preferred and incentive units, and determining the tax consequences of varying exit strategies. Before joining HPI, Steven spent thirteen years in the Public Accounting sector in both San Antonio and Austin. Born and raised in Dallas, Steven first moved to Austin in 1997 to attend UT Austin. Steven enjoys spending time with his family as well as hunting in the Texas hill country and fishing the Texas coast.
Pam Blockley joined HPI in 2016 and has over 23 years of experience in commercial real estate. Originally from the Midwest, she attended the University of Wisconsin – Madison where she graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in real estate and urban land economics.
Pam started her career in Los Angeles working in investment sales as a project director responsible for directing the entire marketing process for multi-million dollar office, retail and industrial property transactions. She served as a project manager, strategizing and implementing the investment team’s business development activities and presentations. Since then Pam has gained experience working in office and industrial leasing, retail development, and now focuses solely on office tenant rep advisory.
Pam is a member of the Wisconsin Real Estate Alumni Association (WREAA) and volunteers her time to Austin’s Meals on Wheels, Girl Scouts of Central Texas and her children’s schools.
Rich joined HPI in November of 2023 to head investor relations as Senior Director of Investor Relations, working with current and prospective investors. He built his professional career in financial services and real estate and brings experience ranging from raising investment equity to wealth management.
Prior to joining HPI, he was Senior Director of Capital Markets at Alpha Investing, where he worked with high-net-worth individuals, family offices and RIAs. Alpha Investing is a private equity real estate firm focused on multifamily and senior housing investing.
Before joining Alpha, Rich was a Senior Managing Director in Waypoint Residential’s Capital Markets Group in Nashville, where he raised investment equity for multifamily, senior living and student housing projects from high-net-worth individuals, family offices, RIAs and institutions.
Preceding Waypoint, he was a Senior Vice President with Capital One’s Wealth Management Group, and has worked at Merrill Lynch in New Orleans, and Brown Brothers Harriman & Co. and Sanford C. Bernstein in New York City. He also co-founded Commodore Mortgage Group and Bouchner Real Estate Group, both in New York.
Rich earned his B.A. in History from Tulane University in New Orleans and his M.B.A in Finance & Marketing from Vanderbilt University in Nashville. He sits on the finance committee of the Louisiana SPCA and is the president of the Louisiana SPCA’s endowment. He has also been on the board of Southern Rep Theater in New Orleans and the Tulane Fund Advisory Board.
Taylor joined HPI in 2020 and currently manages the industrial portfolio of over 1 million square feet for multiple owners around San Antonio and San Marcos. Taylor is responsible for day-to-day management and operations, team leadership, financial reporting, annual budgeting, reconciliations, and project coordination. Taylor began working in CRE in 2017 following a move from North Carolina and has experience with the onboarding and management of office, retail, and industrial buildings. Taylor received her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from The University of North Carolina at Charlotte. In her free time, Taylor enjoys playing sand volleyball, riding motorcycles, and spending time with her dog, friends, and family.
Chantal joined HPI in 2021 with 20 years of property management experience specializing in Class A office product. She is responsible for team leadership, financial reporting, budgets, reconciliations, and project coordination. Chantal has onboarded new developments, including vertical mixed-use assets with complex POA’s. Her collaboration with leasing, development and investment teams provides a balanced approach to property management. She prides herself in providing a high level of customer service, deep knowledge of operations and familiarity of new commercial construction transitions. Chantal is a licensed real estate professional in the state of Texas and also holds the esteemed Real Property Administrator designation from the Building Owners and Managers Institute. She is an active member of both BOMA and IREM Austin chapters.
Michelle joined HPI’s Dallas’ property management team in 2023 and is managing a portfolio of 300,000 square feet consisting of three buildings in Plano, Uptown, and Inwood. Michelle has been in commercial property management for six years focusing on commercial office class A and B and industrial properties. Prior to joining HPI, Michelle worked with Transwestern at buildings in Victory Park, Irving, and Lewisville.
Michelle is a graduate from Southern Illinois University of Edwardsville where she received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, emphasizing in international business, with a minor in Spanish. Michelle is an active member of BOMA Greater Dallas and completed the Building Leaders Mentorship Program in 2023.

Andrew is a Senior Advisor at HPI. As Senior Advisor, Andrew provides advice to HPI’s business lines in transaction structuring and execution. During his 28 years with a national law firm, Andrew provided legal management for institutional owners and regional developers, with extensive experience in the acquisition and management of distressed debt and real estate.
As an Austin native, Kendall bleeds burnt orange! She attended the University of Texas at Austin, where she was highly involved both inside and outside of the classroom. As a Discovery Scholars Academic Scholarship winner, Kendall earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Public Relations along with a Certificate of Business Foundations. In her time as a student, Kendall was actively involved with a Philanthropy Committee for St. Jude’s Cancer Research, volunteered at the ARC, and gained invaluable professional experience as an intern with multiple successful Austin businesses, including HPI Tenant Advisors. Kendall has now been with HPITA since 2016, mastering her knowledge of the commercial real estate process and her ability to ensure the continued success of her clients.
Kendall’s involvement and dedication to her work did not stop when she received her degree. In her time as a tenant advisor, Kendall has been actively involved in Austin Technology Council, Commercial Brokers Association of Austin, Real Estate Council of Austin, and The University of Texas Alumni Association.
In her free time, Kendall enjoys personal fitness, exploring Austin, traveling to new places, and cheering on the Longhorns – Did we mention she bleeds burnt orange?
Casey Casper began his commercial real estate career in the summer of 2013 and joined HPI Tenant Advisors as a Managing Director in 2023. Casey helps local, national, and global companies evaluate their office space needs, and execute strategies for managing expenses, limiting risk, expanding/right-sizing, and enhancing company culture. Whether a client wants to renew or relocate, expand or contract, Casey’s full-service expertise will provide all of the tools needed from occupancy planning to overall portfolio strategy. Casey studied Finance with a concentration in Real Estate at the Red McCombs School of Business at The University of Texas at Austin.
Kristin rejoined HPI in 2019, bringing over 18 years of property management experience with knowledge in office, retail, industrial, association and mixed-use product. She is responsible for the daily operations, financial reporting, variance explanations, preparation of budgets & year-end reconciliations and coordination of tenant finish construction for her current office portfolio. Specific mixed-use product managed in Austin, Texas include Capital Ridge and Capital Ridge POA, 800 Brazos and West Campus office and retail. Capital Ridge and its POA included a parking garage, wastewater treatment plant and other common area elements between a major luxury hotel and office building. 800 Brazos is a downtown mixed used building with residential condominiums, office and retail components. West Campus is situated in the heart of the University of Texas and is blended with student housing and a parking garage. Kristin is actively involved in the real estate community volunteering her time with BOMA Austin in which she served most recently as the association President in 2018. She is also currently affiliated with BOMA Texas serving on the executive committee through the end of 2021. In addition, Kristin holds her Real Property Administrator Designation (RPA) through BOMI International and Salespersons License with the Texas Real Estate Commission.
Scott joined HPI in December 2015. As Construction Manager, he is responsible for all construction management services, as well as providing oversight for all capital expenditures for HPI’s Dallas office. Scott’s focus is on interior office renovations, new tenant finish out, major building renovations, major capital improvements, project budgeting, tenant coordination, owner communication, and post construction warranty’s and close outs. Having over 30 years of experience in the industry, including owning and operating his own general construction business, has allowed Scott to be involved in numerous large-scale projects including, a major league baseball stadium, a one-million square foot tenant build out, and management of a challenging foreign government project. He has worked closely with numerous large institutional owners including Met Life, Calsters, and City Bank.
Chris joined HPI in November 2016. As the head of the Finance Department, he underwrites and performs due diligence on all of HPI’s assets. Chris also handles the company’s loans across all product types. Prior to working at HPI, Chris spent six years at L&B Realty Advisors offering real estate investment management services to institutional investors and has over 15 years of commercial real estate experience. Chris grew up in the St. Louis area and first moved to Texas to attend Trinity University in 2001. After earning his Finance degree from Trinity, Chris later earned his MBA with a focus in Real Estate from The University of Texas at Dallas.
